Fox Chase Cancer Center

Accredited since 1931

Philadelphia, PA

Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation conveys quality and credibility. As a respected organization in the oncology arena, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) CoC bestows this distinction only upon institutions that meet or exceed its rigorous standards to uphold excellence in the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care. This kind of validation inspires confidence in our patients and their families about the caliber of care they can expect from us at Fox Chase Cancer Center. It helps us to attract top faculty recruits and trainees to our program. Finally, it further elevates our reputation as a leader in cancer care.

Accreditation translates to excellence in patient care. By achieving this prestigious distinction, we at Fox Chase Cancer Center demonstrate our ability to provide patient-centered care of the highest quality. We take a multidisciplinary approach, bringing together surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, pathologists, and other cancer specialists, to continually improve clinical outcomes and quality of life for our patients. Through various programs and services at our Center, we provide comprehensive care that is rooted in research, and spans prevention and early diagnosis to cancer staging and treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. Resources including clinical trials, genetic counseling, psychosocial services, and patient navigation round out the patient experience.

We are delighted to join in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Since 1939 when Fox Chase first earned CoC accreditation, we have proudly partnered with this tremendous organization to promote excellence in cancer science and medicine. We are honored to be one of the longest-standing organizations to hold CoC accreditation, something that recognizes the tireless work of so many who dedicate themselves to advancing cancer care.
