Summa Health

Accredited since 1933

Akron, OH

Commission on Cancer (CoC) accreditation validates that our cancer program provides high-quality care, comprehensive services, and technology by utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach to care.  Accreditation is also very important in the competitive market in which Summa Health resides. It is a way for providers and the community to recognize us as an institution that provides high-quality care.

By using a core set of quality measures in order to meet and/or exceed quality benchmarks, accreditation provides a strategy for our program. It ensures that key elements of quality care are achieved, measured, and monitored. This allows us to provide consistent, high-quality care across all providers and services.
